Ekovilla X Wind Seal 135 is a three-layer, highly vapor-permeable, and windproof membrane designed for versatile use in roof and wall applications.
Ideal for insulating pitched roofs and facade systems. Suitable for fully boarded roofs, it offers enhanced tear resistance for easier installation.
Applications
X Wind Seal is used as an underlay for sloped roofs and as a housewrap for facades in timber, brick, concrete, prefabricated, and CLT house constructions, including fully sheathed structures.
Installation requires no ventilation gap, allowing direct contact with thermal insulation. Final roofing cover installation requires batten and counter-batten support.
Suitable for most roofing types, especially ceramic and concrete tiles, metal roofing, and aluminum sheets.
Installation
Start installing the windproof membrane at the bottom corner of the wall, leaving a 15–30 cm vertical overlap at the corner for effective water drainage and to prevent penetration into the wall structure.
Extend the membrane at least 5 cm below the wall’s edge. Unroll it along the wall surface and secure it with staples, nails, or other fasteners. Ensure joints are sealed with appropriate sealing tape.
Final coverage must be installed within 4 weeks after the windproof membrane is installed on the wall.
